Former Michigan State offensive coordinator gets job with Stanford

5 days ago 1

Michigan State made a coaching change within their football program just over a month ago, making the decision to move on from Jonathan Smith and bring in Pat Fitzgerald as the leader of Spartan football. With the coaching change, there was only a handful of coaches that were kept in East Lansing, with the rest moving on from the program.

One notable coach moving on from the program was offensive coordinator Brian Lindgren. Lindgren came over to MSU from Oregon State, with Smith, and spent the last two seasons as the leader of the Spartans offense. Now, after spending the last eight years as Smith's right hand man, Lindgren has found a new position.

Stanford has hired Lindgren as the program's new quarterbacks coach. Lindgren will join the Cardinal under new head coach Tavita Pritchard and offensive coordinator Terry Heffernan.
