The Washington Commanders made the shocking decision to fire offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury after the team's 5-12 season. The Commanders were without star quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Terry McLaurin for most of the season due to respective injuries. However, the Commanders still opted for a change, with reported disagreements between Kingsbury and head coach Dan Quinn being cited as the main catalyst.

"My understanding is that Dan Quinn and Kliff Kingsbury discussed the long term vision for the offense & Jayden Daniels, and didn't see eye-to-eye," Josina Anderson reports.

With Kingsbury being gone, that brings up the question on who will replace him.

Who will the Washington Commanders hire to replace Kliff Kingsbury as offensive coordinator?

According to Grant Paulsen, there are three names to watch for as Kingsbury's replacement, the most notable being former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll.

"Some OC names I've heard linked to the Commanders by multiple folks I've talked to:

Former NYG HC Brian Daboll
Former CLE OC Tommy Rees
Current JAX OC Grant Udinski

I expect Daboll to be involved in early discussions. Would seem odd to move on from Kliff to go more traditional only to land on Daboll, though."

Daboll was fired by the Giants in the middle of the season after a 2-8 start. He led New York to the postseason in 2022, but failed to lead the Giants to a winning record in seasons since. He was Josh Allen's offensive coordinator in Buffalo from 2018-21.
