Former starting Auburn cornerback Kayin Lee plans to transfer to Tennessee, per On3 Sports.

The junior cornerback finished his 2025 campaign at Auburn with 31 total tackles, 25 solo tackles, four pass defenses, and one interception. Lee spent three seasons at Auburn and was a part of former head coach Hugh Freeze's initial recruiting class. He came out of high school as a four-star prospect out of the state of Georgia.

Lee announced his plans to enter the transfer portal back on Dec. 21. Auburn took a hit to the secondary with Donovan Starr, Jay Crawford, A'mon Lane-Ganus, and Raion Strader. He joins Crawford by transferring to a program within the SEC. Crawford announced last week that he will transfer to Ole Miss.

Auburn will see Lee and Tennessee next season. The Tigers take on the Volunteers Oct. 3, 2026, in Knoxville at Neyland Stadium. This will be the first time since 2020 that the Tigers will face off against the Volunteers, where the Tigers won 30-17 at home. It will also be the first trip to Knoxville since 2013, when the Tigers won 55-23.
