1 week ago 2

The San Francisco 49ers are gearing up for a primetime regular season finale with major postseason stakes, hosting the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night at Levi’s Stadium. With the NFC West title and playoff seeding on the line, both teams released their final injury reports following Thursday’s practice, and several notable names remain worth monitoring heading into kickoff.

San Francisco enters the weekend with multiple starters listed as questionable, though there is cautious optimism around several of them.

Tight end George Kittle (ankle) and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee, ankle) were limited participants throughout the week. Head coach Kyle Shanahan made it clear that having his top offensive weapons available against Seattle’s defense would be significant.

“The more good players you have out there, everyone knows Kittle’s a great player,” Shanahan said. “We’re going against a great defense, a great team. So it’s definitely huge to have everyone on board who is capable of it.”

Defensively, CB Upton Stout was a full participant in Thursday’s practice, but he has not officially cleared the league’s concussion protocol and remains questionable. DL Keion White (groin) returned to practice in a limited capacity after missing the first two sessions of the week, putting him firmly in game-day decision territory.

The biggest question mark remains Trent Williams. The veteran left tackle did not practice all week due to a hamstring injury, though Shanahan said Williams has made progress and has begun testing the injury.

“I think he’s made good progress,” Shanahan said. “If the doctors okay it and Trent believes he can do it and get through it, then there’s no decision on my part.”

There was positive news elsewhere. Christian McCaffrey and Kyle Juszczyk were limited early in the week but returned to full participation Thursday, part of a cautious workload management plan during a stretch of three games in 13 days. CB Renardo Green (neck) practiced fully all week and carries no game designation.

49ers Game Status:

  • George Kittle (ankle) — Questionable

  • Ricky Pearsall (knee, ankle) — Questionable

  • Upton Stout (concussion) — Questionable

  • Keion White (groin) — Questionable

  • Trent Williams (hamstring) — Questionable

Seahawks Injury Report

Seattle received a boost with the return of Rashid Shaheed, who exited last week with a concussion but practiced fully on Wednesday and Thursday and carries no game designation.

However, the Seahawks will be without starting left tackle Charles Cross, who has been ruled out for a third straight game with a hamstring injury. Josh Jones, who has filled in for Cross the past two weeks, is questionable with knee and ankle injuries after being limited Thursday. Safety Coby Bryant is listed as doubtful with a knee injury and was limited in practice.

Seahawks Game Status:

  • Charles Cross (hamstring) — Out

  • Coby Bryant (knee) — Doubtful

  • Josh Jones (knee, ankle) — Questionable

Final availability for both teams will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff, but with so much on the line, expect several of these decisions to go down to the wire.
