The Atlanta Falcons requested an interview with Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver for their head coaching vacancy, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Weaver, 45, was a candidate for the Falcons' head coaching vacancy two years ago before the team hired Raheem Morris for the role. Weaver also interviewed with the Washington Commanders in 2024 and both the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears last year.

In his first season with the Dolphins, Weaver earned a lot of praise for leading a unit that finished No. 4 in yards allowed and No. 10 in points allowed. But after parting with players like Calais Campbell, Jalen Ramsey, and Jevón Holland, the Miami defense struggled in 2025.
The Dolphins finished No. 24 in both yards and points allowed.
Prior to his time with the Dolphins, Weaver was defensive coordinator for the Houston Texans in 2020 and spent three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens where he was assistant head coach in his final two years.
