Falcons head coach provides injury updates ahead of finale vs. Saints

The Atlanta Falcons have one game left on their 2025 NFL season schedule, a Week 18 matchup against the New Orleans Saints at home. While the two NFC South rivals have had underwhelming years, both teams have been playing good football as of late.

The Falcons have won three straight games, including a prime-time upset over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17. The Saints have been even better, winning their last four games after starting 2-10 this season.

Head coach Raheem Morris met with the media on Wednesday and provided some injury updates ahead of Sunday's season finale. Defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus exited Monday's win with what appeared to be a serious knee injury. According to Morris, it's just a hamstring issue.

"We dodged a big-time bullet," Morris said of Dorlus. "We feel pretty good about the injury. He's gonna miss a couple weeks obviously. He'll miss this game, but we feel pretty good about what happened."

Dorlus wasn't the only player ruled out by Morris. Cornerback Mike Hughes is set to miss his third straight game due to an ankle injury.

"I don't think he'll be able to go this week," Morris said of the team's No. 2 cornerback. That means undrafted rookie Cobee Bryant will get the start opposite A.J. Terrell at cornerback in Week 18.
