The Atlanta Falcons have dismissed head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot after two seasons, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Sunday night.

Morris posted a 16-18 record since taking over as head coach in 2024, narrowly missing the playoffs in both seasons. Fontenot, who had served as general manager since 2021, helped lead a roster overhaul that ultimately fell short of delivering postseason success.

The changes come after the Falcons finished 8-9 this season, marking their sixth consecutive campaign without a playoff appearance. Morris previously served as the Falcons’ interim head coach in 2020, going 4-7 after Dan Quinn was fired midseason. Fontenot served as the Falcons’ general manager for five seasons. In that span, Atlanta failed to post a winning season or reach the playoffs, finishing below .500 in all five years.

The Falcons defeated the Saints 19-17 on Sunday. Their season is over after being eliminated in Week 14, losing to the Seattle Seahawks.
