A former LSU football running back who entered the transfer portal found a new team. Ju'Juan Johnson committed to Syracuse, according to a report from On3's Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday.
Johnson spent two seasons in Baton Rouge and will have two years of eligibility remaining when he joins the Orange. In 2025, he was used as a rusher and receiver. He took 41 carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns in addition to 17 catches for 72 yards. He also threw a pass for 14 yards.

A native of Lafayette, LA, Johnson came into LSU as a skilled passer. He set state records with career marks of 14,451 yards and 171 touchdowns while leading Lafayette Christian Academy to four straight championship appearances.
A consensus four-star prospect in the 2024 signing class, Johnson was rated a top-10 recruit out of Louisiana by multiple recruiting outlets. When he arrived at LSU, he started on the defensive side of the ball before injuries led to his shift to offense.
Johnson was vocal about wanting to get back under center, which led to entering the portal. It remains to be seen whether he will get that shot at Syracuse.
