On Saturday night, former USC quarterback Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers 13-3 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. With the win, Seattle secured the NFC West title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
As USC fans know, this was not the first time that Darnold won championship at Levi's Stadium. Eight years prior, on that same field, Darnold led USC to a 31-28 victory over Stanford in the Pac-12 Championship Game to bring home the conference title. Nearly a decade later, he returned to Santa Clara and once again walked away victorious.

The two games were certainly very different. Against Stanford back in December of 2017, Darnold threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns, which USC needed all of to win a high-scoring affair. Against San Francisco Saturday night, Darold's defense did most of the work, holding the 49ers to just three points in an ugly contest.
Nevertheless, it is interesting that two of the biggest wins of Darnold's football career to date have occurred in Santa Clara. With Super Bowl LX scheduled to be played at Levi's Stadium in February, he could potentially have the opportunity to get an even bigger one there next month if Seattle can take care of business at home in the playoffs.
