The Miami Dolphins have requested an interview with Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan for the team's open general manager job, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Miami fired general manager Chris Grier on October 31 following a 2-7 start to the 2025 season.
Starting as an intern in 2003, Sullivan has worked his way up through the Packers’ personnel department over more than two decades. He was promoted to his current position in 2022, after spending four seasons (2018-21) as co-director of player personnel.

Given his reputation for evaluating talent and the team’s success, it comes as no surprise that other organizations are interested in one of Green Bay’s top personnel executives. Last year, Sullivan was interviewed by the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, and Las Vegas Raiders for their GM vacancies, but he returned for his 22nd season with the Packers.
Sullivan’s days in Green Bay could be numbered as he’s likely to land multiple interviews this hiring cycle as well. In addition to the Dolphins, the Atlanta Falcons also have a GM opening after firing Terry Fontenot, with more decisions expected around the league.
