The Miami Dolphins signed rookie quarterback Cam Miller off the Las Vegas Raiders' practice squad, his agent said Thursday.
Miller, 24, was a two-time FCS champion as the starter for North Dakota State and was picked in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft after Raiders minority owner Tom Brady was impressed by the quarterback.

"[Brady] liked the way [Miller] threw it, his technique, throwing from the ground up and his motion," Raiders GM John Spytek told The Athletic after the draft. "And he thought he had the potential to improve."
In preseason, the 6'1 rookie quarterback completed 20 of his 37 passes with one touchdown and one interception. Miller was waived at the end of training camp and spent the rest of the year on the Raiders' practice squad.
The Dolphins will now carry Miller on their 53-man roster for a few days and can spend the offseason working to develop the young passer.
