Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond officially has been named to his first Olympic roster.

That he made Sweden's team that will compete at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 is no surprise: Raymond is one of his country's top players.

The announcement by the Swedish National Team was made Friday, Jan. 2, shortly after the U.S. announced its roster, which includes Dylan Larkin.

Wings teammate Moritz Seider was among six players named to Germany's National team back in June.

Raymond is the Wings' leading scorer with 44 points in 40 games.

This will be the first Olympics for all three. It's the first time the NHL has sent players to the Games since 2014. The league and the International Olympic Committee couldn't agree on financial terms for 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
