The Detroit Lions entered Week 18 with a wide range of possibilities on where they could pick in the upcoming 2026 NFL draft from Pittsburgh this coming April.
Dependent upon their contest's result at the Chicago Bears and the results from a number of other Week 18 games across the NFL, there were scenarios where the Lions could pick anywhere from No. 12 through pick No. 18.

After Detroit's 19-16 win over Chicago and the rest of the Week 18 results, the Lions will select at No. 17 overall in the 2026 NFL draft. If the Lions had lost at the Bears, Detroit would have picked at No. 13 overall. The Pittsburgh Steelers' "Sunday Night Football" win over the Baltimore Ravens also kept the Lions from jumping up to No. 16 in the NFL draft order.
But, the Lions' first-round fate is officially set at No. 17 overall. Picks No. 19-32 will be determined by the results in the NFL playoffs. Here's a look at the early first-round 2026 NFL draft order:
