JK Dobbins, whom the Denver Broncos signed this past offseason, looked like he was well on his way to a 1,000-yard campaign. However, a foot injury cut his season short yet again, marking the sixth straight year that he was not able to play a full season.
Dobbins might be able to return for the AFC Championship game if the Broncos make it past the divisional round, but he's currently scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March.

Looking ahead to the offseason, Bleacher Report's Alex Kay thinks the Dallas Cowboys would be an excellent fit for Dobbins during free agency this spring. And while Dobbins would be a fantastic signing for Dallas, he may have to settle for a one-year agreement.
"With Dobbins missing multiple games in all six of his NFL seasons—including all of the 2021 campaign and almost all of 2023—it'll be tough for him to earn any sort of long-term deal from a club," Kay wrote for B/R. "He's had to settle for one-year agreements in back-to-back seasons and will likely need to again in 2026 despite playing in a majority of his teams' games over the past two years and offering quality contributions when healthy."
A more likely scenario seems to be Dallas re-signing Javonte Williams (an ex-Bronco who is also headed for free agency). Denver seems likely to attempt to re-sign Dobbins this spring, but they could face competition from other clubs. B/R expects the Cowboys to be in the mix. First things first, Broncos fans will hope to see Dobbins return for a Super Bowl run later this month.
