Dallas Cowboys defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku was arrested on Sunday after an apparent driving incident.

The Cowboys said on Monday night that they were aware of the arrest, too, but did not provide additional comments. Collin County sits just northeast of Dallas.

Ezeiruaku had 40 total tackles and two sacks with the Cowboys this season. He was ejected from the team’s final game of the year after he ripped New York Giants offensive lineman Greg Van Roten’s helmet off during a scuffle in the second half, ending his rookie season early. Ezeiruaku was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft last spring out of Boston College. He racked up 16.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss during his senior campaign with the Eagles, both of which led the ACC.

The Cowboys went 7-9-1 this past season, and lost four of their last five games, to fall out of playoff contention for a second straight year.
