The Washington Commanders already lost one coach this season, when quarterbacks coach Tavita Pritchard departed to take over as head coach at Stanford. When Washington coach Dan Quinn took over the play-calling from defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr., he essentially fired him. So, the Commanders will be hiring a new defensive coordinator and a quarterbacks coach once the season ends on Sunday.
Assistant quarterbacks coach David Blough is expected to replace Pritchard, with Washington then hiring someone to replace Blough.

Could Washington be losing another coach?
Running backs coach Anthony Lynn, one of the NFL's most respected coaches, is finishing up his second season as the Commanders running backs coach/run game coordinator. If we are to go by Lynn's Wikipedia profile, he's already gone.
A quick look at Lynn's Wikipedia reveals he's the new running backs coach at Penn State.

This doesn't appear to be true at all. No one has confirmed or denied whether Lynn is leaving the Commanders. Penn State does make some sense, though, as Lynn's son, D'Anton, was recently named defensive coordinator there.

Wikipedia is not a trusted source of information, as anyone can edit or add information that you see. Washington wraps up its 2025 regular season on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. So, if Lynn does decide to go, we should know soon.
Lynn, a former NFL running back for eight seasons, joined the coaching ranks in 2000 and has been a head coach (Chargers, 2017-20) and offensive coordinator. Why would Lynn want to leave the NFL to coach college kids? Having the opportunity to coach alongside your son is a tremendous opportunity.
If Lynn does leave, that means the Commanders would need to hire three new coaches. As of now, no one has officially reported that Lynn is going anywhere.
