MADISON – Wisconsin never fully recovered from the loss of seven cornerbacks to the transfer portal last year.
Eric Fletcher could help fill that void.
The rising redshirt sophomore who played at Oklahoma State last season committed to the Badgers on Jan. 3. JGPCFB reported the commitment first, then Fletcher posted the report on his X account.

Wisconsin will be the third stop for the 6-foot-1, 180-pound native of Fort Myers, Fla. He took a redshirt season at East Carolina before signing with Oklahoma State before last season.
Fletcher played in each of the Cowboys’ 12 games. He recorded 11 tackles that included 1 ½ stops for a loss. He also broke up three passes.
Cornerback is a position of need for the Badgers. Former All-American Ricardo Hallman, who played a team-high 713 defensive snaps according to Pro Football Focus, and D’Yoni Hill, who started nine games, completed their eligibility. The Badgers also lost nickel Geimere Latimer to the transfer portal.
The team’s most experienced player at the position will be rising redshirt sophomore Omillio Agard, who split snaps with Hill for most of the season and started three games when he was injured.
