Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer put together his annual list of "potential future NFL general managers" to watch, and included was one Indianapolis Colts' executive.

Under the category of 'on the doorstep,' Breer listed Colts' assistant GM Ed Dodds.

Breer mentions that there are few questions about Dodds' ability to scout college talent or evaluate players. He also adds that Dodds played a key role in helping the Seahawks win a Super Bowl when Pete Carroll was the head coach.

"If you’re looking for an old-school scout who’ll be blunt and honest about your team to do the job, Dodds is your guy," Breer wrote.

Dodds has already drawn interest from other teams in recent years.

Last year, Dodds was a finalist for the Tennessee Titans' GM opening. In the 2024 offseason, he was a finalist for the Carolina Panthers opening and he also interview with the LA Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dodds has been with the Colts since 2017, where he was the Vice President of player personnel. In 2018, he became Chris Ballard’s assistant general manager and has held that title since then.
