The Colorado Buffaloes continue to add to their defensive front with their fourth lineman commitment and eighth overall of the current portal cycle.

Former Appalachian State defensive lineman Dylan Manuel announced his commitment to Colorado after his visit this weekend.

Manuel posted 37 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception in 2025. He was a highly graded run defender, earning a 76.2 run defense grade from Pro Football Focus.

Before he starred at App State, Manuel was a second-team Freshman All-American at Charleston Southern in 2024. His commitment continues Colorado's personnel department's trend of prioritizing proven Group of Five and FCS talent over Power Four rejects—none of the current eight commits spent last season at a Power Four program.

At 6-foot-1 and 300 pounds, Manuel has the most size of any of the four defensive line commitments, setting him up as a plug-and-play interior lineman along a revamped Colorado defensive line.
