Indianapolis Colts' general manager left little doubt about Daniel Jones' future with the team.
When speaking with the media on Thursday, Ballard was asked about Jones, who is set to hit free agency this offseason.

"I think it's mutual on both sides," Ballard said of re-signing Daniel Jones. "I feel very good about Daniel Jones. Where he's at and where he's going."
Ballard later added, "I think Daniel Jones has a really bright future here in Indianapolis."
While Jones is working his way back from an Achilles injury, Ballard says he is "confident" in Jones' ability to recover and bounce back.
It's far from a surprise that Ballard seemingly anticipates Jones returning next season. Shane Steichen voiced a similar opinion, and Jones himself echoed similar sentiments, saying he'd "love" to return.
One potential hurdle that could pop up is negotiating Jones' next contract with the team while coming off a major injury.

ESPN's Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler discussed this topic recently.
Led by Jones, the Colts were off to an 8-2 start and had one of the most productive offenses in the NFL.
