Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones spoke with reporters during his recent press conference, sharing his thoughts on finishing the regular season strong.
“Listen, man, we have one more game left. We have to focus on the now. You have to be where your feet are at. You have to be present,” said Jones, “You still have areas you can get better in when you close the season, you know what I mean? We have a lot of young guys playing which they’re broadcasting their talent. So, I don’t think you can look at the offseason now. When the season is over with, then you can analyze your plays and the areas you can get better in.”
Jones secured his fifth sack of the season in Week 17 and, aside from the late-game penalty, has shown increased productivity over the past few weeks.

“This game meant something to us. I mean, we’re out there playing. Still another opportunity to play the game we love,” said Jones, “You know it’s unfortunate that we aren’t fighting for playoff positioning right now, but we’ll be back. This year taught us a lot of valuable lessons as a team. We’re going to continue to build off of that.”
Kansas City will officially close out its 2025 season in Week 18 against the Raiders.
