Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones spoke to reporters on Thursday, recapping the 2025 season and looking forward to next year.
"The adversity we faced along the way. Definitely was a learning curve this year. "I appreciate the challenges," said Jones. "You learn a lot about yourself when you have a lot of tough times throughout the course of 17 weeks, so it's been a journey, to say the least." I learned a lot, I learned a lot."

Jones didn't have his ideal season individually, but he still managed to secure five sacks entering Week 18. He commented on his goals to build on for next year.
"There's a lot to build. We were like, "What, six and (10)? Then you look at individually wise as a teammate. I study myself first, there are so many opportunities that I left on the field," said Jones, "Look at last week, I jumped offsides on a fourth and one, that was a building block. First game of the season, I gave up containment – in two minute. Those are things right there that I can definitely build from and learn from."
Jones continues his streak of Pro Bowl selections with his seventh consecutive appearance. He will be joining teammates Travis Kelce, Trey Smith, and Creed Humphrey at the 2026 Pro Bowl Games during Super Bowl LX Week in the San Francisco Bay Area.
