Charlie Weis Jr., who was Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Ole Miss, is reportedly an assistant to watch for New York's next coaching staff.

The son of former Giants assistant Charlie Weis, the longtime college and NFL coach, was linked to New York in reports Sunday by ESPN's Jordan Raanan and Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.

The 32-year-old Weis is "an interesting name as a possibility to work with" Dart, according to Raanan.

"Don't be surprised if his name comes up around the league, including in New York," Leonard wrote.

Weis is in his fourth season as the Rebels' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

He helped Dart develop into a first-round pick who completed 735 of 1,118 passes for 72 touchdowns against 22 interceptions while adding 12 rushing scores and 1,500 yards on 371 attempts in 39 games from 2022-24.

Dart set Ole Miss single-season records for total offense (4,774), passing yards (4,729) and efficiency (180.7), yards per pass attempt (10.8) and completion (15.5), and total offense per play (9.15) as a senior in 2024.

Weis is set to leave Ole Miss for LSU, following former Rebels coach Lane Kiffin to the Tigers as the program's new offensive coordinator, after the 2025 season.

Ole Miss reached the 2025-26 College Football Playoff semifinals with this past Thursday's 39-34 Sugar Bowl win over Georgia and is scheduled to play Miami in Thursday's Fiesta Bowl.
