LAFAYETTE - Karsyn Cherry, of the all-time greats in Lafayette area girls soccer, has taken a giant leap into the realm of professional soccer.
Cherry graduated and signed with Angel City FC of the National Women's Soccer League.

Cherry is a 2-time Journal & Courier Player of the Year who graduated from Central Catholic in 2022.
She went on to have a standout career at Louisville as a defender and netted 12 goals with 5,610 minutes and started in 68 of the 69 games she played during her career with the Cardinals.

Central Catholic's Karsyn Cherry is the 2021 Journal & Courier Player of the Year for Girls Soccer.
Cherry led Central Catholic to the IHSAA state championship in 2020 and holds the Knights' record with 124 goals and 73 assists.
