Kalidou Koulibaly and his teammates have not lost a single CAN match since their defeat in the 2019 final against Algeria. Across the next three tournaments—2021, 2023, and 2025—they've gone 16 games unbeaten.

During this run, Senegal have racked up 12 wins and 4 draws. Even the dramatic exit against Côte d’Ivoire in the round of 16 of the 34th edition—on penalties (1-1, 5-4 on pens)—is statistically counted as a draw.

This remarkable feat surpasses the previous record of 14 unbeaten matches set between 2002 and 2004 (5 wins, 4 draws).

It's worth noting that the all-time record belongs to Egypt, who went 25 consecutive CAN matches without defeat between 2004 and 2017.

Pape Thiaw's men will look to extend their streak in the semi-finals, where they await the winner between Côte d’Ivoire and Egypt.
