The Chicago Bears have turned around their franchise tremendously in one year. They've clinched their first NFC North division title since 2018 and are fighting for the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff race.
Bringing in head coach Ben Johnson has changed everything for Chicago, and while they've continuously been the betting underdog or overlooked in the media conversation, quarterback Caleb Williams believes that the team has proven more to themselves than others, which matters most.

Detailing the confidence and experience the Bears have had this season, putting together six comebacks in the fourth quarter, Williams said the team knows who they are and they'll use each game to keep showing it. No matter the circumstances, Williams says this team knows what it takes to win games in big moments, and that's what they've known about themselves for most of the year.
"I mean, we know who we are," Williams said. 'We know exactly what we need to be able to do to win games, and if it comes down to it, we know that we're going to give ourselves the best shot to be able to do it. That's something that we've known. That's something that we've worked on. It's something that the confidence from all the work, the games that we've had, have grown us for these types of moments. So yeah, we fell short in this situation, but we've been on the other side of it, and we know we can be a lot better here coming up."
Figuring out who they are as a team, the 2025 Bears have built their identity as one that is always believing in one another, and that they're never out of any game. We'll see if that can transfer to the postseason, where Chicago will host its first playoff game in seven years.
