Well, Bucs fans, it's time to start rooting for the team you never thought you would: The New Orleans Saints.
The Bucs took care of business in a very sloppy game against the Carolina Panthers on Saturday. Their reward is to hope the Saints defeat the Falcons on Sunday so they can clinch the NFC South. Without that win by the Saints, they will miss the playoffs, and their 2026 offseason now begins.

Turning our attention back to the Bucs and the Panthers, they won a sloppy game in typhoon-like weather that plagued the first half. Ironically, they played better and executed in the first half, with the weather being bad, rather than in the second half when it cleared up. The offense and defense both executed well in the first half, controlling time of possession and forcing stops on the Panthers' drives as they made plays.
All of it will be for nothing, though, unless the Saints can throw the Bucs a bone and defeat the Falcons.
