Here's our opportunity to discuss Howie Roseman and his intelligence. We've gotten so busy with the Philadelphia Eagles and their offensive lapses that we've sometimes forgotten this team is 11-5 and one of the participants in the coming NFL Playoffs.
They've made the postseason in every year that head coach Nick Sirianni has been at the helm. He and Andy Reid are the only coaches in franchise history to win 11 games or more in four consecutive seasons.

That's a testament to his work ethic and Roseman's tireless work to keep this team competitive. Both are human. Sirianni makes bad calls sometimes. Roseman sometimes gambles and loses.
That's okay. It's part of the game. It happens to every NFL team at some point. Philadelphia has won in the draft over and over, and yet sometimes, there's an Andre Dillard. The Eagles have added great players by way of trades and free agency, but sometimes, they'll miss the mark on a guy like Bruce Huff.
The final terms of the Eagles-49ers trade involving Bruce Huff may already be known.
You hadn't thought about Huff in a while, have you? That's okay. As mentioned, this has been a long regular season for everybody, and we mean everybody. Players, coaches, fans, and the media have all felt the sting one way or another.

Howie Roseman has done what he can to soften the blow. He remains the best in the business. For instance, after realizing that signing Bryce Huff to a three-year, $51 million deal was a mistake, he managed to convince the San Francisco 49ers to take him off Philadelphia's hands.
At the beginning of June, the Eagles traded Huff to the 49ers for a conditional 2026 draft choice. We can now determine what the conditions of that pick are.
Everything hinged on Huff's performance. A fifth-round pick would escalate to a fourth if he reached eight sacks this season. He's stuck at four, and unless he channels his inner Myles Garrett and doubles that total in the regular-season finale, we can safely assume how this plays out.
Huff hasn't notched a sack since October 19th. He's dropped a goose egg in the past seven games. The smoke has cleared. Dust settled, revealing the final details of Philadelphia's deal with San Francisco.

The Eagles will receive a fifth-round pick for Huff's services, which is still remarkable. Remember when it seemed unlikely they'd get anything at all? Most didn't even believe a seventh-rounder was on the table.
