The Cleveland Browns have tabbed their second head coaching candidate of the new search cycle.

After requesting to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken earlier today, the Browns have now turned to the NFC and have put in an interview request for Seattle Seahawks' defensive coordinator Aden Durde. Expect the Browns to cast a wide net and for these two coordinators to be just the tip of the iceberg.

Durde, a native of England, has been coaching since 2011 after a brief professional career. Durde even spent two seasons in the NFL, playing linebacker for both the Carolina Panthers and Kansas City Chiefs. After spending five seasons as the defensive coordinator for the London Warriors, Durde came back to America as a coaching intern with the Dallas Cowboys during the 2014 season.

Durde was then a defensive assistant for the Atlanta Falcons under then Dan Quinn from 2016 to 2020. He then followed Quinn back to the Dallas Cowboys, where Durde was the defensive line coach there from 2021 to 2023. He was named the offensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks in 2024 under Mike MacDonald.

He now gets a chance to interview for the big chair in Cleveland.
