3 hours ago 1

Just a few weeks after stepping away from LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka is already eyeing a return to the PGA Tour in 2026.

Koepka left LIV Golf last month and has quickly moved forward with his plans for what comes next. He has already submitted an application to regain his PGA Tour membership and is now waiting to hear back about where he will be eligible to play in 2026.

It may be wise for Koepka to take part in some DP World Tour events this year.

Since he was not a member of the DP World Tour when he joined LIV back in 2022, there are no unpaid fees hanging over him.

The 35-year-old clearly longs for an immediate return to the PGA Tour, and he will soon learn if that dream can become a reality.

The five-time major winner is eager to get back onto the PGA Tour.

There have been reports suggesting Tiger Woods will have a big influence on whether Koepka is allowed back.

That is because Woods holds roles as both a Player Director on the Policy Board and a member of the Future Competition Committee.

An update has now been provided on the 35-year-old.

On X, Flushing It reports that the PGA Tour’s decision regarding Koepka’s future is imminent.

The golf community remains split over what should happen next.

Some feel Koepka should not be allowed to return, while others think bringing him back would be a blow to LIV Golf.

But that move could easily play out in more than one way.

Brooks Koepka return leaves PGA Tour with tough call to make

The decision on whether to allow Brooks Koepka back onto the PGA Tour could have a wider impact, with players like Bryson DeChambeau and Joaquin Niemann potentially considering similar moves if he is given the green light.

There is also the possibility that some current PGA Tour players might view a future return pathway as a reason to make the switch to LIV Golf themselves.

On the other hand, making it too difficult for Koepka to return could shut down any chance of other LIV players, such as DeChambeau, following him back.

A lot of eyes across both tours will be watching closely how this plays out.

The PGA Tour are in a difficult spot. No matter what decision they make, there will be backlash from one side or the other. It is not an easy position to be in.
