Frank Cairone, a second-round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers last July, remains hospitalized after being involved in a serious car accident near his home in New Jersey on Jan. 2.

"He's progressing positively," president of baseball operations Matt Arnold said Monday, Jan. 5. "The reports we've gotten are good."

Cairone, 18, is a left-handed pitcher who was selected 68th overall out of Delsea Regional High School in New Jersey.

Arnold offered no other information or update regarding Cairone other than to add that regional scouting coordinator Steve Ditrolio – who signed Cairone – is assisting the family in any way possible on behalf of the organization.
