Texas is Tech is reloading following a breakout 12-2 campaign that concluded with a Big 12 title and a berth the College Football Playoff.
Per multiple reports, former Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby committed to Texas Tech Sunday night. Sorsby was the No. 3 quarterback and No. 7 player overall in the transfer portal per On3 rankings and is rated as the portal's No. 1 quarterback by multiple outlets.

Sorsby chose Texas Tech over LSU and first-year head coach Lane Kiffin. He reportedly made the decision after a weekend of visits with both programs. Sorsby joins an incoming transfer class at Texas Tech that On3 had ranked No. 1 as of Sunday night ahead of No. 2 LSU.
A rising senior, Sorsby will be playing for his third program after two seasons as a starter at Cincinnati and one at Indiana. In 2025, Sorsby completed 61.6% of his passes for 2,800 yards with 27 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. A dual threat, he added 580 yards and 9 touchdowns on the ground.
