Just a few weeks ago, the Buffalo Bills tried to claim Darius Slay off waivers.

They actually got him, but he chose not to show up. The Bills then lost Ja'Marcus Ingram in an ensuing roster move to make room, so they're down a cornerback.

They had a chance this week to try and remedy that. The Dallas Cowboys placed Trevon Diggs on waivers.

Diggs ended up being claimed by the Green Bay Packers.

CBS Sports writer Jonathan Jones reported that the Packers were the only team to place a claim on Diggs.

That means the Bills didn't try for him.

Green Bay would've won the claim, since their record is a tad worse than Buffalo, but that doesn't mean the Bills couldn't have tried.

They must've decided that at the end of the day, they've had enough of the Diggs family.

But the Bills could use help in their secondary. Rarely does a player with Trevon Diggs' talent come available this late in the season.

They opted not to go for it, and we'll see if it comes back to bite Buffalo in the postseason.
