The Cincinnati Bengals won’t step in the way of Joe Burrow wanting to play in the season finale against the Cleveland Browns.
Now, his offensive line will have to step in the way of an angry, history-hunting Myles Garrett.

Garrett didn’t break the NFL’s single-season sack record last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s at 22 and one shy of breaking the record shared by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt.
The Browns superstar alleged the Steelers went out of their way to stop him from getting the record, to the point it cost them the game. But Garrett thinks he can break the record against the Bengals.
"Absolutely. Why shouldn't I be?” Garrett said when asked about breaking the record, according to ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi. “Four more quarters, 60 more minutes. However you want to draw it up, it'll get done."

To the Bengals’ credit, Burrow is playing behind the best offensive line of his career in Cincinnati. And, generally speaking, shutting out Garrett is a key part of any game plan that wants a chance of beating the Browns.
Even so, it’s understandable if Bengals fans hold their collective breaths on each dropback on Sunday. Burrow’s back early from a serious injury, his team doesn’t have much to play for and Garrett’s hunting history.
It’s a manageable situation, but Burrow and the Bengals can’t afford another setback amidst this almost intimidating backdrop.
