The Cincinnati Bengals are not one of the best teams in the NFL this season, but their 6-10 record isn't nearly as bad as it could've been considering Joe Burrow missed the majority of the season.

But, there are still some questions about the team going forward, specifically about whether head coach Zac Taylor would return in 2026.
While he's a name on the hot seat this season, a report from Dianna Russini of The Athletic, which reveals the support Taylor is receiving from Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, likely means Taylor isn't going anywhere.
Bengals' Zac Taylor gets HC job update thanks to Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins
"Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been a consistent voice of support for coach Zac Taylor within the organization," Russini reports, "as have receiver Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins."

This is a significant update, as not only is the support of the top players on the team indicative that he's not lost the locker room, but it's also for how much stock the organization puts into Burrow's opinion.
As Russini writes, "Cincinnati ownership has made it clear they value Burrow's perspective, and they've listened in the past."
If the Bengals' ownership is still willing to listen to Burrow, along with Chase and Higgins, then the chances of Taylor departing this offseason, barring a completely hidden intention behind the scenes, looks incredible low.

Taylor's job appears to be safe this offseason, as the Bengals will hope the 2026 season is a much better one, as the defense starts to turn a corner, and the offense can stay healthy all year.
But, this is one to continue to watch, as things could change in the coming weeks depending on how the season finale goes, and if there are any changes internally for Burrow and the Bengals stars.
For now, the Bengals appear to be sticking with Taylor as the team's head coach for the 2026 season. Burrow, Chase, and Higgins showing their support for Taylor is a big reason why Taylor is likely to keep his job.
