Real could battle Bayern on Schlotterbeck (Bild via Get German Football News)
According to a report from Bild (as captured by Get German Football News), Real Madrid could be a major contender for Borussia Dortmund center-back Nico Schlotterbeck.

Of course, Bayern Munich has been closely linked to Schlotterbeck as well, which could make for a transfer battle. Real Madrid could even attempt to lower the requested fee for the center-back by proposing a swap deal (Author’s Note: You know how much we love rumored swap deals here):
⚫️🟡 Real Madrid are interested in Borussia Dortmund centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck.
Dortmund want at least €70m for the 26-year-old if they are forced to sell him.
Reports in Spain suggest Madrid wants a swap deal to lower the transfer fee.
Bayern Munich’s involvement in the “Schlotterbeck Sweepstakes” likely depends on what happens with Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae. The most recent news seems to indicate that Upamecano will ink a contract extension. That could kill any hopes of a deal, but if Schlotterbeck stays with Borussia Dortmund through the end of the 2026/27 season, Bayern Munich could attempt to lure him to Bavaria on a free transfer.

Bayern Munich’s attack has been incredible this season, but when looking at the calendar year of 2025, it becomes very impressive:
Slot touts Wirtz (Fabrizio Romano)
Liverpool boss Arne Slot was happy to see Florian Wirtz perform so well in his team’s 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton last weekend.

“The team have seen how much he did already for us, creating chances and being so close to a goal,” Slot said. “He will go on and score many more goals than one for us. I think Florian did more than only score.”
If Wirtz can start to produce regularly for LFC, it could mean great things are ahead for the German national team.
Spurs have many familiar faces on wish list (ESPN)
Tottenham Hotpsur could be looking for a reboot of its roster and apparently has several players in mind:
Tottenham Hotspur will be active in the January transfer window, and the club have been linked with a host of players. TEAMtalk says Spurs will attempt to beat the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid to the signing of Crystal Palace Adam Wharton, while Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka is also a target as his contract expires in the summer. The Evening Standard suggests that Manchester City winger Savinho appears to be off limits, but lists other targets including Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, FC Porto forward Samu Aghehowa, Juventus star Kenan Yildiz and Barcelona wantaway keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The latest news indicates that Tottenham is not actually interested in Goretzka (at least not right now), but Spurs could be plotting for a major revamp in 2026.

Bayern Alumni: Kroos talks his affinity for Real (Madrid Universal)
The circumstances surrounding the exit of Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich will always be a sore point for fans. However, that affair did lead to Kroos landing at Real Madrid — where he seems to have felt most at home.
“At Real Madrid, they drill into your head that you have to win every tournament,” Kroos said. “The biggest club I’ve played for? That’s easy to answer: Madrid. I was lucky enough to play for the best club in the world for 10 years. My time at Madrid was the most successful and where I felt most at home. We were very successful. The club was like a big family. Those were the best years of my career as a football player.”
