Baltimore mayor curses Ravens ahead of loss to Steelers

5 days ago 2

On Tuesday, a video surfaced that explained a lot about why the luck turned sour for the Baltimore Ravens against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. A now-viral video of Baltimore mayor Brandon M. Scott showed him on the Friday before the game using a Terrible Towel like toilet paper in his attempt to hype up the fanbase before the game.

Mayor Scott says in the video that the only thing the towel is good for is to wipe your butt, but he, like so many others before him, doesn't understand the power of the Terrible Towel curse. You disrespect the towel, and bad things happen to your team.

The game was back and forth for all of the second half as the two teams traded punches. In the end, it came down to a field goal attempt from Ravens rookie kicker Tyler Loop that hooked right as time ran out. The 26-24 win gave the Steelers a 10-7 record and the AFC North championship.
