The Buccaneers and Panthers found themselves in the oddest situation after Saturday's Week 18 game. With Tampa Bay's win, it meant that the final game between the last-place Saints and third-place Falcons would decide the division champion. Basically, it's a proxy division title game.
And man, Baker Mayfield was not loving the chance to experience watching football as a fan with a rooting interest.

Under this potential three-way tie scenario, the Bucs needed the Saints to beat the Falcons. So despite taking care of business against the Panthers on Saturday, the Bucs' season would still end with an Atlanta win.
