The Wisconsin Badgers have made their first offensive addition in the transfer portal, adding Bowling Green transfer tight end Jacob Harris, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Harris, a 6’4, 255-pound tight end, was expected to have visits at Wisconsin and South Carolina, according to 247Sports’s Chris Hummer, but is shutting his recruitment down and committing to the Badgers.

As a sophomore in 2025, Harris had his best year yet, catching 19 passes for 182 yards and five touchdowns for Bowling Green as their No. 2 tight end, leading the team in touchdowns. In fact, the five touchdowns led all tight ends in the MAC this year.
Wisconsin had been scheduling visits with a couple of transfer portal tight ends heading into the weekend, including New Mexico transfer Dorian Thomas, but his agency tweeted that plans had changed there.
With the commitment of Harris, the Badgers are prioritizing multiple years of eligibility, just as they did with safety transfer commit Carson Van Dinter earlier in the day.
Last year, Wisconsin brought in transfer Lance Mason to lead the room, and he ended up leading the team in receiving yards (398), while catching 30 passes and four touchdowns. Mason declared for the 2026 NFL Draft recently.
Now, they’re looking to the transfer portal again for another option to complement youngsters Grant Stec and Emmett Bork, among others.
