Arne Slot CONFIRMS Liverpool star could miss Arsenal clash

Arne Slot has confirmed that one Liverpool star could now miss the Arsenal clash with an injury. A blow for the Reds.

Liverpool struggled to a 2-2 draw at Fulham on Sunday. The Reds can count themselves unlucky to have dropped the points, admittedly, given it took a once-in-a-lifetime striker by Harrison Reed to split the points.

But Liverpool didn't do enough to guarantee a win here. They couldn't consistently create chances and relied on slices of luck for their goals.

It just wasn't a controlled performance - or a particularly exciting one.

Now, Arne Slot can rightly point to absences as making life difficult for him. Alexander Isak is out long-term, Mo Salah is still off at AFCON, and Liverpool have been short at centre-back for months now.

But another injury cropped up for this one - and it may well affect the Arsenal game, too.

Hugo Ekitike was a surprise absence here. He's got a hamstring problem, ruling him out against Fulham and potentially against Arsenal, too.

Slot confirmed as much ahead of the Fulham draw. He says Isak's injury has led to this, forcing the Frenchman to play too much football.

"Alexander Isak has been out for a few weeks now," Slot told Sky Sports. That has meant that Hugo had to play more minutes than he did throughout the whole season.

"That has led to the fact that he picked up a slight hamstring injury, because we had to play him more and more and more minutes.
