Arizona Cardinals left tackle Paris Johnson finished the 2025 season on injured reserve with a knee injury for the second straight season, but while he is not currently able to play, he has received an award this season.
Local reporters, part of the Arizona chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America, named Johnson the 2025 Steve Schoenfeld Good Guy Award, chosen by reporters to honor the player on the Cardinals who is outstanding for his cooperation and insight in dealing with the media. Johnson was selected this year for being available, insightful and professional while communicating with reporters this season.

The award is named for former Arizona Republic writer Steve Schoenfeld, who covered the Cardinals and the NFL for the Republic from 1988 to 2000. A former national president of the PFWA, Schoenfeld was tragically killed by a hit-and-run driver in October of 2000.
In a season as difficult as this year has been, it can be tough to get players to discuss challenges. Johnson was helpful and insightful. He also played well on the field before his injury.
