The Arizona Cardinals made some roster moves to prepare for their game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, one of which will also impact the offseason.

They added three players to the active roster from the practice squad, and one player was shut down.

Marvin Harrison Jr. to IR

This move was made on Friday. He was already ruled out of the game against the Rams with a foot injury. This allowed the Cardinals to sign a player from the practice squad to the active roster, which would in most cases lock up that player for at least 2026.

WR Palmer signed to active roster

The player replacing Harrison on the active roster is receiver Tejhaun Palmer. Palmer was signed to the active roster from the practice squad. Palmer was drafted in the sixth round in 2024 but spent all last season and all this season on the practice squad. The speedy receiver very possibly will be inactive for the game, but this move ensures that he will be under control in the offseason. Had he been remained on the practice squad, next week he would have become a free agent, able to sign with a playoff team or a futures deal with another team.

This move ensures that he will be on the offseason roster.

Davis, Sims elevated to roster

The Cardinals used standard elevations to add cornerback Jaden Davis and receiver Steven Sims to the active roster. It is the third elevation for both players. In two games, Davis has played 37 defensive snaps and 11 on special teams, logging two total tackles.

Sims has played 10 snaps on offense and 15 on special teams in two games. He has returned one punt for five yards and seven kickoffs, averaging 26.7 per return.
