As Iowa State women's basketball tried to mount a comeback late in its road game at Cincinnati on Jan. 7, the Cyclones had to do it without one of its most important players.

Junior guard Arianna Jackson left Wednesday night's game at Fifth Third Arena in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a lower-body injury. When a Cincinnati player drove to the lane, Jackson's left leg appeared to collide with the driving Bearcat.

Jackson had to be helped off the floor by members of Iowa State's athletic training staff and did not return to action. It was a significant loss for the Cyclones at a critical point of the game.

Jackson, a Des Moines native and a former star at Roosevelt High School, had six points, two rebounds and one assist in the loss before leaving the game.
