As you obviously know, the Baltimore Ravens' season hangs in the balance on Sunday night. A win in Pittsburgh on NBC's Sunday night broadcast means the 2025 season continues into the postseason. A loss would mean the beginning of the off-season.
No matter what happens, the fact that Ar'Darius Washington returned to action during the campaign is a very good thing. In fact, it's a feel-good story. Washington, a safety who can also play corner or nickel, tore his Achilles on May 13.

It was speculated that his entire 2025 could be lost, which would be a huge blow considering he played in 16 games during the 2024 season, starting nine. He also had five tackles for a loss, seven passes defended, and two interceptions.
This season, he returned in week 14, playing 15 snaps in the 24-0 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The following week, in the gut-wrenching Sunday night loss at home to the New England Patriots, Washington had a forced fumble and quarterback pressure. He's also registered a sack this season.
While the Ravens' depth chart lists Washington as the backup strong safety behind Kyle Hamilton, he's a key contributor at other positions in the defensive backfield.
After seven months out with the Achilles, he hasn't been utilized as much this season, once he got back. Next year, however, he could see a role much more similar to the one he had in 2024.
