Announcers for Panthers' wild-card game vs. Rams are revealed

Well, there'll be at least one Carolina Panthers legend in the building for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The thing is, he'll be on the job.

As revealed on Monday, franchise great Greg Olsen will be on FOX's broadcast team for this weekend's playoff game from Bank of America Stadium. Olsen, as usual, will be joined by play-by-by commentator Joe Davis and sideline reporter Pam Oliver.

Before becoming an Emmy Award-winning color analyst, Olsen played nine of his 14 NFL seasons with the Panthers. The former three-time Pro Bowl tight end finished up as the Carolina's third all-time leading pass catcher, amassing 6,463 receiving yards between 2011 and 2019.

Olsen, perhaps fittingly, was a part of the Panthers' last playoff team—back in 2017. That trip ended in a wild-card round loss to the New Orleans Saints, where Olsen reeled in eight catches for 107 yards and a touchdown.

This will mark Olsen's fourth time covering the Panthers this season, with his last assignment coming in the team's Week 9 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
