Alabama wide receiver to reportedly enter transfer portal

1 week ago 2

Alabama wide receiver Rico Scott has officially entered the transfer portal, per On3's Hayes Fawcett.

A former four-star recruit, Scott recorded 16 receptions for 158 yards and three touchdowns during the past two seasons as a member of the Crimson Tide. The 6'0", 196 pound playmaker will more than likely draw interest from a number of different programs, as Scott is a dynamic and shifty receiver that could thrive with an increase in playing time. Scott will have three years of eligibility remaining following his departure from the Crimson Tide, as Alabama will now turn elsewhere in hopes of adding additional depth to the wide receiver room.

Scott was a highly coveted prospect following his success in high school. The talented wideout was ranked as the No. 48 overall wide receiver from the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, as Scott ultimately chose to sign with Alabama over a number of elite and prestigious programs. The route runner was ranked as the No. 303 player from his class as well, as Scott could quickly begin to thrive following his two seasons in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama has seen numerous playmakers on both sides of the football enter the transfer portal in addition to Scott, as the Tide will more than likely ramp up their aggression in the portal sooner rather than later.
