Alabama forward named SEC Freshman of the Week for third time

Alabama forward Amari Allen has officially been named as the SEC Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.

Allen has played at an elite level throughout the entirety of the 2025-26 campaign. The 6'8", 205 pound forward currently averages 11.7 points per game on 45.7% shooting, as Allen leads the Tide in rebounds with 7.8 per game as well.

The star freshman has played a crucial role on both ends of the floor this season, as the talented forward has officially earned himself SEC Freshman of the Week honors for an impressive third time this season. A Wisconsin native, Allen has proven to be a be a major threat to opposing teams on both offense and defense in 2026, and the rising star continues to turn heads throughout the college basketball world.

Allen was ranked as the No. 23 small forward and the No. 103 overall player from the class of 2025, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. A former four-star recruit, Allen was a highly-coveted prospect prior to signing with Alabama, and has continued to perform above expectations on a nightly basis.

The Tide will look to stay hot against Tennessee this weekend in Coleman Coliseum, as Allen officially finds himself as the SEC Freshman of the Week for the third time this year.
