He took an unconventional route, but a former Denver Broncos running back has landed on his feet.
Two weeks after being cut from the Broncos' practice squad, running back Sincere McCormick is joining the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad, but it took an eventual journey.

McCormick was scheduled to work out for the New York Jets this week, but his flight was canceled, leaving the running back stranded in the Chicago-O'Hare airport overnight, according to KPRC-TV's Aaron Wilson. After McCormick missed the workout, the Jets ended up signing Raheem Blackshear instead.
Fortunately, the story has a happy outcome.
Before catching his would-be flight home, McCormick was given a last-minute flight to Minneapolis by the Minnesota Vikings, who worked him out on Wednesday morning. The Vikings then signed McCormick to their practice squad.
McCormick (5-8, 205 pounds) is now with his fifth NFL team since entering the league in 2022. The 25-year-old running back has totaled 212 yards from scrimmage on 45 career touches in five regular-season games.
