The Texas A&M Aggies dramatically opened SEC play, edging LSU in a 75-72 nail‑biter that literally came down to the final seconds. The victory gives head coach Bucky McMillan his first conference win and extends A&M’s streak to four straight, carrying over the momentum they built to close out non‑conference play.

What should have been a quick finish turned into a free‑throw marathon, as the final 17 seconds stretched into nearly 15 minutes of real time. Still, the Aggies showed plenty—both the encouraging and the concerning—while grinding out a win in their first league test.
