After losing to the Seattle Seahawks 41-6 at Lumen Field on Saturday, the San Francisco 49ers are officially eliminated from the playoffs and their 2025 campaign has come to a close.
With that, 49ers coordinators can now interview for head coach opportunities, and on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Las Vegas Raiders submitted a request to speak to 49ers offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak for the opening left by Pete Carroll's firing.

Kubiak, 37, joined the 49ers in 2021 as a defensive quality control coach and took over as the team's offensive coordinator this year.
Las Vegas struggled mightily this year, and without a long-term plan at quarterback, they're not the most intriguing landing spot for a first-time head coach, but Kubiak may be willing to take anything to get his first swing at leading a team.
